Hi, I'm Derek

I've spent my career helping people change how they work. As an agile coach and delivery leader — including years with Agile Infusion, working across telecom, healthcare, and insurance — I watched the same pattern over and over: smart, capable people buried in busywork that had nothing to do with the work that actually mattered.

AI can finally change that — for anyone, not just people with "technical" in their job title. But most people never get past the hype. They've opened ChatGPT a few times, felt underwhelmed or overwhelmed, and moved on. Not because AI doesn't work, but because nobody showed them how to actually use it for their own life and work.

So that's what I do now: I write guides, run workshops, and coach people one-on-one on using AI well — for the actual things they do all day, not generic demos. No buzzwords, no assuming you're technical — just practical skills that stick.

When I'm not doing that, I'm pursuing my second Master's degree in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania — studying exactly how people and organizations adopt (and resist) change — cheering on the Eagles, or trying new restaurants around Philly.
